[1482] A measureless phenomenon (appamāṇo dhammo) is a condition for a limited phenomenon (paritta) by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: Depending on measureless faith (saddhā), one gives a gift (dāna); virtue (sīla) …; the uposatha observance (uposathakamma) …; one arouses insight (vipassanā). Depending on measureless virtue … wisdom (paññā), one gives a gift …; virtue …; the uposatha observance …; insight …. Measureless faith … wisdom is a condition for limited faith, for wisdom, for bodily pleasure, and for bodily pain by decisive-support condition. The attainment of fruition (phalasamāpatti) is a condition for bodily pleasure by decisive-support condition. The noble ones (ariyā), depending on the path (magga), see with insight formations (saṅkhārā) as impermanent …. The path is a condition for the noble ones' discrimination of meanings (attha-paṭisambhidā), discrimination of ideas (dhamma-paṭisambhidā), discrimination of language (nirutti-paṭisambhidā), discrimination of sagacity (paṭibhāṇa-paṭisambhidā), and skill in what is possible and impossible (ṭhānāṭhāna-kosalla) by decisive-support condition.
