[196] A phenomenon (dhamma) with thought and examination (savitakka-savicāra), and a phenomenon without thought and with examination only (avitakka-vicāramatta), are a condition for a phenomenon without thought and with examination only, and for a phenomenon without thought and without examination (avitakka-avicāra), by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya).
The death consciousness (cuticitta) with thought and examination, and thought (vitakka), are a condition for the rebirth consciousness (upapatticitta) without thought and with examination only, and for examination (vicāra), by immediacy condition.
The aggregates (khandhā) with thought and examination, and thought, are a condition for emergence (vuṭṭhāna) without thought and with examination only, and for examination, by immediacy condition.
The preparation (parikamma) for the jhāna without thought and with examination only, and thought, are a condition for the jhāna without thought and with examination only, and for examination, by immediacy condition.
