[2094] Internal and external phenomena (dhammā) are a condition for an external phenomenon by prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya). Object-prenascence (ārammaṇa-purejāta), base-prenascence (vatthu-purejāta): the internal form base (rūpāyatana) and the external eye base (cakkhāyatana) are a condition for external eye-consciousness (cakkhu-viññāṇa) by prenascence condition; the internal tangible-object base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana) and the external body base (kāyāyatana) are a condition for external body-consciousness (kāya-viññāṇa) by prenascence condition; the internal form base and the external base (vatthu) … the internal tangible-object base and the external base are a condition for the external aggregates by prenascence condition.
