[2113] An external phenomenon (bahiddhā dhamma) is a condition for an internal phenomenon (ajjhatta dhamma) by presence condition (atthi-paccaya): prenascence and nutriment.
Prenascence: the external eye … the base (vatthu) … a form with the divine eye (dibbacakkhu) … a sound with the divine ear element (dibbā sotadhātu) … the external form base (rūpāyatana) … the tangible base (phoṭṭhabbāyatana) is a condition for internal body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa) by presence condition.
External edible nutriment (kabaḷiṅkāra āhāra) is a condition for the internal body by presence condition.
