Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (2) · Vol. 41 · Section 211

[211] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception (vitakka) and without discursive thought (vicāra) is a condition, by connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya), for a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought. One aggregate (khandha) without thought-conception and without discursive thought is a condition, by connascence condition, for three aggregates and for forms originated by mind (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa); two aggregates are a condition, by connascence condition, for two aggregates and for forms originated by mind; discursive thought is a condition for forms originated by mind. At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), one aggregate without thought-conception and without discursive thought is a condition for three aggregates and for forms due to kamma performed (kaṭattā-rūpa), two aggregates for two aggregates and for forms due to kamma performed, discursive thought for forms due to kamma performed, the aggregates for the base (vatthu), the base for the aggregates, discursive thought for the base, the base for discursive thought. One primary element (mahābhūta) is a condition for three primary elements; the primary elements are a condition for forms originated by mind and forms due to kamma performed that are derivative forms (upādā-rūpa); external … originated by nutriment (āhāra) … originated by temperature (utu) … For the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), one primary element … the primary elements are a condition, by connascence condition, for forms due to kamma performed that are derivative forms.
