[35] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra), there arise a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra) and a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought, by dissociation condition (vippayutta-paccaya). At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), dependent on the base (vatthu), [there arise] the aggregates (khandhā) with thought-conception and discursive thought; dependent on the great primary elements (mahābhūta), kamma-born form (kaṭattārūpa); the aggregates [arise] dependent on the base by dissociation condition; the kamma-born form [arises] dependent on the aggregates by dissociation condition. Dependent on a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought, there arise a phenomenon without thought-conception, with discursive thought only (avitakka-vicāramatta), and a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought, by dissociation condition.
