[7] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra), a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra) and a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought arise by root condition (hetu-paccaya): At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), dependent on the base (vatthu), the aggregates (khandhā) with thought-conception and discursive thought arise; dependent on the great primary elements (mahābhūta), kamma-born form (kaṭattārūpa) arises. Dependent on a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought, a phenomenon without thought-conception but with mere discursive thought (avitakka-vicāramatta) and a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought arise by root condition: Dependent on discursive thought (vicāra), the aggregates without thought-conception but with mere discursive thought, and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa), arise. At the moment of rebirth-linking, dependent on discursive thought, the aggregates without thought-conception but with mere discursive thought, and kamma-born form, arise. At the moment of rebirth-linking, dependent on the base, the aggregates without thought-conception but with mere discursive thought arise; dependent on the great primary elements, kamma-born form arises. At the moment of rebirth-linking, dependent on the base, thought-conception (vitakka) arises; dependent on the great primary elements, kamma-born form arises. At the moment of rebirth-linking, dependent on the base, the aggregates without thought-conception but with mere discursive thought, and discursive thought, arise. Dependent on a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought, a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought and a phenomenon without thought-conception but with mere discursive thought arise by root condition: At the moment of rebirth-linking, dependent on the base, the aggregates with thought-conception and discursive thought, and thought-conception, arise.
