[8] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is without thought-conception (vitakka) and without discursive thought (vicāra), there arise phenomena with thought-conception and discursive thought, phenomena without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought, and phenomena without thought-conception and without discursive thought, by root condition (hetu-paccaya).
At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), dependent on the base (vatthu), the aggregates with thought-conception and discursive thought, and thought-conception, arise; dependent on the primary elements (mahābhūta), kamma-born form (kaṭattārūpa) arises.
