[37] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) accompanied by thought-conception (vitakka) and discursive thought (vicāra) and on a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought, there arises a phenomenon accompanied by thought-conception and discursive thought, by dissociation condition (vippayutta-paccaya): at the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), dependent on one aggregate (khandha) accompanied by thought-conception and discursive thought and on the base (vatthu), three aggregates [arise], dissociated from the base, by dissociation condition. Dependent on a phenomenon accompanied by thought-conception and discursive thought and on a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought, a phenomenon without thought-conception, with discursive thought only, … At the moment of rebirth-linking, dependent on the aggregates accompanied by thought-conception and discursive thought and on the base, thought-conception [arises], dissociated from the base, by dissociation condition. Dependent on a phenomenon accompanied by thought-conception and discursive thought and on a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought, a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought … Dependent on the aggregates accompanied by thought-conception and discursive thought and on the primary elements (mahābhūta), mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arises], dissociated from the aggregates, by dissociation condition.
