Paccanīyapaṭṭhāna

[395] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought and without examination (avitakka-avicāra) is a condition for a phenomenon with thought and with examination (savitakka-savicāra) by dissociation condition (vippayutta-paccaya): conascent (sahajāta), prenascent (purejāta). Conascent: At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), the base (vatthu) is a condition for the aggregates (khandhā) with thought and with examination by dissociation condition. Prenascent: The base is a condition for the aggregates with thought and with examination by dissociation condition.
