[410] A phenomenon (dhamma) without initial application and without sustained application (avitakka-avicāra) is a condition, by presence condition (atthi-paccaya), for a phenomenon without initial application but with sustained application only (avitakka-vicāramatta) and for a phenomenon without initial application and without sustained application — conascent (sahajāta), prenascent (purejāta).
Conascent: sustained application (vicāra) is a condition, by presence condition, for the aggregates (khandhā) without initial application but with sustained application only and for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa); at the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), sustained application is a condition, by presence condition, for the aggregates without initial application but with sustained application only and for forms produced by kamma (kaṭattā-rūpa). At the moment of rebirth-linking, the base (vatthu) is a condition, by presence condition, for the aggregates without initial application but with sustained application only.
