[665] A phenomenon (dhamma) to be abandoned by development (bhāvanā) is a condition, by root condition (hetu-paccaya), for a phenomenon to be abandoned by development. Roots (hetū) to be abandoned by development are a condition, by root condition, for the associated aggregates (khandhā).
