[984] A phenomenon (dhamma) with a root to be abandoned neither by seeing nor by mental development is a condition, by presence condition (atthi-paccaya), for a phenomenon with a root to be abandoned by mental development — conascent (sahajāta), prenascent (purejāta).
Conascent: delusion (moha) accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca) is a condition, by presence condition, for the associated aggregates (khandhā).
Prenascent: one relishes and delights in the eye (cakkhu); the base (vatthu) is a condition, by presence condition, for the aggregates with a root to be abandoned by mental development.
