[482] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is a defilement (kilesa), a phenomenon that is not a defilement arises, not by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya): dependent on the defilements, [there arises] mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa). Dependent on a phenomenon that is not a defilement, a phenomenon that is not a defilement arises, not by object condition: dependent on the aggregates (khandhā) that are not defilements, [there arises] mind-originated form; at the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), dependent on the aggregates, [there arises] the base (vatthu) … up to the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā). Dependent on a phenomenon that is a defilement and a phenomenon that is not a defilement, a phenomenon that is not a defilement arises, not by object condition: dependent on the defilements and the associated aggregates, [there arises] mind-originated form; dependent on the defilements and the primary elements (mahābhūta), [there arises] mind-originated form. … Not by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya); not by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya); not by contiguity condition (samanantara-paccaya); not by mutuality condition (aññamañña-paccaya); not by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya).
