[215] Bhikkhus, for a bhikkhu who possesses eight qualities, the act of suspension (ukkhepanīyakamma) for not seeing an offence (āpatti) should not be revoked: he suspends the Uposatha (uposatha) of a regular bhikkhu (pakatatta); he suspends the Pavāraṇā (pavāraṇā); he issues a formal injunction (savacanīya); he initiates an accusation (anuvāda); he causes leave (okāsa) to be given; he reproves; he reminds; he sets bhikkhus at odds with bhikkhus. Bhikkhus, for a bhikkhu who possesses these eight qualities, the act of suspension for not seeing an offence should not be revoked.
