Bhikkhus, that bhikkhu Udāyī should approach the Saṅgha, arrange his upper robe over one shoulder, pay homage at the feet of the senior bhikkhus, sit down on his heels, raise his joined palms, and address it thus: 'Venerable sirs, I fell into one offence (āpatti) of intentional emission of semen (sañcetanikā sukkavisaṭṭhi), unconcealed. I requested from the Saṅgha six nights' penance (mānatta) for that one offence of intentional emission of semen, unconcealed. The Saṅgha granted me six nights' penance for that one offence of intentional emission of semen, unconcealed. Venerable sirs, having observed the penance, I request rehabilitation (abbhāna) from the Saṅgha. 'Venerable sirs, I fell into one offence of intentional emission of semen, unconcealed. I requested from the Saṅgha six nights' penance for that one offence of intentional emission of semen, unconcealed. The Saṅgha granted me six nights' penance for that one offence of intentional emission of semen, unconcealed. Having observed the penance, venerable sirs, for the second time I request rehabilitation from the Saṅgha. 'Venerable sirs, I fell into one offence of intentional emission of semen, unconcealed.
