[444] "Bhikkhus, it should be given thus. That bhikkhu should approach the Saṅgha, arrange his upper robe over one shoulder, … and the Saṅgha should be addressed by him thus: 'Venerable sirs, I have fallen into several saṅghādisesa offences: one offence concealed for one day … ten offences concealed for ten days. Venerable sirs, I request of the Saṅgha, for those offences, a combined probation (samodhānaparivāsa) reckoned by the value of those offences among them that have been concealed the longest.' A second time also [the Saṅgha] should be requested; a third time also [the Saṅgha] should be requested."
