[459] Bhikkhus, here again a bhikkhu commits two saṅghādisesa offences (saṅghādisesa āpatti) concealed for two months. He thinks thus: 'I have indeed committed two saṅghādisesa offences concealed for two months. What if I were to ask the Saṅgha for one month's probation (parivāsa) for the two offences concealed for two months?' He asks the Saṅgha for one month's probation for the two offences concealed for two months. The Saṅgha grants him one month's probation for the two offences concealed for two months. While he is undergoing probation, a sense of conscientious shame (lajjidhamma) comes over him: 'I have indeed committed two saṅghādisesa offences concealed for two months. It occurred to me: "I have indeed committed two saṅghādisesa offences concealed for two months. What if I were to ask the Saṅgha for one month's probation for the two offences concealed for two months?"
