[547] Bhikkhus, here again, a bhikkhu, while undergoing probation (parivāsa), commits in the interval several saṅghādisesa offences (āpatti); regarding some offences he is free from doubt, regarding some offences he is doubtful. Those offences regarding which he is free from doubt, he conceals; those offences regarding which he is doubtful, he does not conceal. Having disrobed and been ordained again, those offences which formerly, being free from doubt, he concealed — those offences, later, being free from doubt, he conceals; those offences which formerly, being doubtful, he did not conceal — those offences, later, being free from doubt, he does not conceal. That bhikkhu should be sent back to the beginning (mūlāya paṭikassitabbo), and he should be given a combined probation (samodhānaparivāsa) together with the earlier offence, in accordance with the offences as they were concealed.
