[82] Bhikkhus, the act of demotion (niyassakamma) should be revoked for a bhikkhu who possesses eight qualities: he does not suspend the Uposatha of a regular bhikkhu (pakatatta); he does not suspend the Pavāraṇā; he does not issue an injunction to answer (savacanīya); he does not set up an accusation; he does not have leave [to accuse] granted; he does not reprove; he does not remind [of an offense]; he does not set bhikkhus against bhikkhus. Bhikkhus, the act of demotion should be revoked for a bhikkhu who possesses these eight qualities.
