Vinayapiṭaka · Cūḷavagga (2) · Vol. 7 · Section 473

[473] What are the three suspensions of the Pātimokkha that are not in accordance with the Dhamma? One suspends the Pātimokkha (pātimokkhaṃ ṭhapeti) on account of a groundless failure in virtue (amūlikā sīlavipatti); one suspends the Pātimokkha on account of a groundless failure in conduct (ācāravipatti); one suspends the Pātimokkha on account of a groundless failure in view (diṭṭhivipatti). These are the three suspensions of the Pātimokkha that are not in accordance with the Dhamma.
