[370] Bhikkhus, it is by way of elements (dhātu) that beings come together and unite: those disposed to the good come together and unite with those disposed to the good. In the past time also, bhikkhus, it was by way of elements that beings came together and united: those disposed to the good came together and united with those disposed to the good. In the future time also, bhikkhus, it will be by way of elements that beings will come together and unite: those disposed to the good will come together and unite with those disposed to the good. At present also, bhikkhus, in the present time, it is by way of elements that beings come together and unite: those disposed to the good come together and unite with those disposed to the good.
