[233] A fully ordained one (upasampanna), desiring to jeer at, desiring to scorn, desiring to humiliate a fully ordained one, speaks of the low with a low [term] — [that is, of one who is] a camel, a ram, an ox, a donkey, an animal, a hell-being — saying: "You are a camel; you are a ram; you are an ox; you are a donkey; you are an animal; you are a hell-being. There is no good destination for you; only a bad destination is to be expected for you." There is an offense (āpatti) of pācittiya for each and every utterance.
