[281] One who is fully ordained (upasampanna), having heard it from one who is fully ordained, conveys malicious tale-bearing (pesuñña) to one who is fully ordained, saying: "The one named so-and-so says, 'We are not caṇḍālas, not bamboo-workers, not hunters, not cartwrights, not refuse-cleaners' — he is not speaking of anyone else; he is speaking of you alone" — there is an offense (āpatti) of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa) for each utterance. …
