[717] When the act is legitimate (dhammakamma), and the bhikkhu perceives it as a legitimate act, if, having given his consent (chanda), he complains, there is an offense of pācittiya. When the act is legitimate, and the bhikkhu is in doubt about it, if, having given his consent, he complains, there is an offense of dukkaṭa. When the act is legitimate, and the bhikkhu perceives it as an illegitimate act, if, having given his consent, he complains, there is no offense.
When the act is illegitimate, and the bhikkhu perceives it as a legitimate act, … there is an offense of dukkaṭa. When the act is illegitimate, and the bhikkhu is in doubt about it, … there is an offense of dukkaṭa. When the act is illegitimate, and the bhikkhu perceives it as an illegitimate act, … there is no offense.
