[935] Which phenomena (dhammā) are both hindrances (nīvaraṇa) and associated with hindrances? Wherein two or three hindrances arise together — these phenomena are both hindrances and associated with hindrances.
Which phenomena are associated with hindrances but not hindrances? Setting aside the hindrances, the remaining unwholesome (akusala) — these phenomena are associated with hindrances but not hindrances.
Phenomena dissociated from hindrances may not be said to be either "both hindrances and associated with hindrances" or "associated with hindrances but not hindrances."
