[1043] And how is there [the craving] "I am not lasting" (sātasmīti)? Not setting aside any phenomenon (dhamma) — form, feeling (vedanā), perception, volitional formations, or consciousness — [one thinks]: "I shall be annihilated, I shall perish, I shall not be"; thus there is [the craving] "I am not lasting."
