[1059] And how is there [the craving] "By this I shall be thus"? In comparison with another person: either "As that one is a noble (khattiya), so by this I shall be a noble," or "As that one is a brahmin (brāhmaṇa), so by this I shall be a brahmin," … or "As that one is neither-percipient-nor-non-percipient (nevasaññīnāsaññī), so by this I shall be neither-percipient-nor-non-percipient." Thus there is [the craving] "By this I shall be thus."
