[51] Sakavādin: "Is the person (puggala) apprehended in the sense of a real and ultimate fact (sacchikaṭṭha-paramaṭṭha)?"
Paravādin: "Yes."
Sakavādin: "Is the person in form? … Is the person other than form? … Is form in the person?"
Paravādin: "It should not be said thus."
Sakavādin: "Acknowledge the refutation (niggaha): If the person is apprehended in the sense of a real and ultimate fact, then indeed, good sir, it should be said that form is in the person. What you say there — 'It should indeed be said that the person is apprehended in the sense of a real and ultimate fact, but it should not be said that form is in the person' — is wrong. But if it should not be said that form is in the person, then indeed, good sir, it should not be said that the person is apprehended in the sense of a real and ultimate fact. What you say there — 'It should indeed be said that the person is apprehended in the sense of a real and ultimate fact, but it should not be said that form is in the person' — is wrong." …
