[541] S. Is there doubt (kaṅkhā) in the Arahant?
P. Yes.
S. But was it not said by the Blessed One: "Bhikkhus, I say that the destruction of the taints (āsava) is for one who knows, for one who sees, not for one who does not know, not for one who does not see. And for one who knows what, bhikkhus, for one who sees what, does the destruction of the taints come about? For one who knows, for one who sees: 'This is suffering (dukkha),' bhikkhus, … 'This is the way of practice leading to the cessation of suffering,' the destruction of the taints comes about. It is, bhikkhus, for one who knows thus, for one who sees thus, that the destruction of the taints comes about." Is there indeed such a discourse (suttanta)?
P. Yes.
S. Then it should not be said, "There is doubt in the Arahant."
