Suddhasaṅkhāravāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 1037

[1037] "For whomever bodily formation (kāya-saṅkhāra) arises, does mental formation (citta-saṅkhāra) arise for him?" "Yes." "Or rather, for whomever mental formation arises, does bodily formation arise for him?" "At the moment of the arising of mind (citta) apart from in-breathing and out-breathing (assāsa-passāsa), mental formation arises for those [beings], but bodily formation does not arise for them. At the moment of the arising of in-breathing and out-breathing, for them both mental formation arises and bodily formation arises."
