Suddhasaṅkhāravāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 1088

[1088] For whom the bodily formation (kāyasaṅkhāra) arises, will the verbal formation (vacīsaṅkhāra) arise for that one? Yes. Or rather, for whom the verbal formation will arise, does the bodily formation arise for that one? For all [beings] at the moment of the dissolution of mind (citta), at the moment of the arising of mind apart from in-breaths and out-breaths, for those attained to cessation (nirodhasamāpanna), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta) — the verbal formation will arise for them, but the bodily formation does not arise for them. At the moment of the arising of in-breaths and out-breaths, for them both the verbal formation will arise and the bodily formation arises.
