Suddhasaṅkhāravāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 1209

[1209] For whomever, wherever, bodily formation (kāyasaṅkhāra) arises, will mental formation (cittasaṅkhāra) cease for that one there? Yes. Or rather, for whomever, wherever, mental formation will cease, does bodily formation arise for that one there? For all — at the moment of the dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of mind (citta), and at the moment of the arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of mind apart from in-and-out breathing (assāsapassāsā) — mental formation will cease for them there, but bodily formation does not arise for them there. At the moment of the arising of in-and-out breathing, for them there mental formation will cease and bodily formation arises.
