[1155] For whomever the bodily formation (kāyasaṅkhāra) ceases, will his verbal formation (vacīsaṅkhāra) cease?
Yes.
Or rather, for whomever the verbal formation will cease, does his bodily formation cease?
For all [beings] at the moment of the arising of mind (citta); at the moment of the dissolution of a mind [occurring] without in-and-out breaths (assāsapassāsā); for those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpanna); and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) — their verbal formation will cease, but their bodily formation does not cease. At the moment of the dissolution of the in-and-out breaths, their verbal formation will cease and their bodily formation ceases.
