[441] For whomever in whatever plane the form base (rūpāyatana) does not arise, did the dhamma base (dhammāyatana) not arise for that one in that plane?
For all beings who are passing away, and for the formless beings who are being reborn, the form base does not arise for them in that plane, but it is not the case that the dhamma base did not arise for them in that plane. For those attaining final Nibbāna (parinibbāna) in the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa), for them in that plane the form base does not arise and the dhamma base did not arise.
Or rather, for whomever in whatever plane the dhamma base did not arise, does the form base not arise for that one in that plane?
For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes, the dhamma base did not arise for them in that plane, but it is not the case that the form base does not arise for them in that plane. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the Pure Abodes, for them in that plane the dhamma base did not arise and the form base does not arise.
