Uppādavāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (1) · Vol. 38 · Section 518

[518] For whomever, wherever, the form sense base (rūpāyatana) did not arise, will the mind sense base (manāyatana) not arise for that one there? For formless (arūpa) beings, the form sense base did not arise for them there, but it is not the case that the mind sense base will not arise for them there. For beings of the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa) and for those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the formless [plane], the form sense base did not arise for them there, and the mind sense base will not arise. Or, for whomever, wherever, the mind sense base will not arise, did the form sense base not arise for that one there? For those in their final existence in the five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra) and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), the mind sense base will not arise for them there, but it is not the case that the form sense base did not arise for them there. For beings of the Pure Abodes and for those in their final existence in the formless [plane], the mind sense base will not arise for them there, and the form sense base did not arise.
