[610] For whomever, wherever, the nose sense base (ghānāyatana) does not cease, has the mental-phenomena sense base (dhammāyatana) never ceased for that one there?
For all who are arising, and for those without nose (aghānaka) who are passing away, the nose sense base does not cease for them there, but it is not the case that the mental-phenomena sense base has never ceased for them there. For those of the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa), the nose sense base does not cease for them there, and the mental-phenomena sense base has never ceased.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the mental-phenomena sense base has never ceased, does the nose sense base not cease for that one there?
