[611] For whomever, wherever, the form base (rūpāyatana) does not cease, has the mind base (manāyatana) never ceased for that one there?
For those being reborn into five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra) and for formless beings, the form base does not cease for them there, but it is not the case that the mind base has never ceased for them there. For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes (Suddhāvāsa) and for those being reborn among the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), for them there both the form base does not cease and the mind base has never ceased.
Or, for whomever, wherever, the mind base has never ceased, does the form base not cease for that one there?
For those attaining final Nibbāna in the Pure Abodes and for those passing away from the non-percipient beings, the mind base has never ceased for them there, but it is not the case that the form base does not cease for them there. For those being reborn into the Pure Abodes and for those being reborn among the non-percipient beings, for them there both the mind base has never ceased and the form base does not cease.
