[758] "For whomever, wherever, the eye base (cakkhāyatana) arises, will the form base (rūpāyatana) cease for that one there?"
"Yes."
"Or else, for whomever, wherever, the form base will cease, does the eye base arise for that one there?"
"For those passing away from five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra), for those without eyes who are being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā): for them the form base will cease there, but the eye base does not arise for them there. For those with eyes who are being reborn: for them both the form base will cease there and the eye base arises."
