Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 1158

[1158] For whomever the nose faculty (ghānindriya) does not arise, will the femininity faculty (itthindriya) not arise for that one? For all who are passing away, and for those without the nose (aghānaka) who are being reborn, the nose faculty does not arise; but it is not the case that the femininity faculty will not arise for them. For those who are attaining final Nibbāna (parinibbāna) in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara); for those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and in the formless sphere (arūpāvacara); for those who, after being reborn in the form sphere or the formless sphere, will attain final Nibbāna; and for those males who, in that very same state [of sex], will pass through some number of existences and then attain final Nibbāna — for these, while they are passing away, the nose faculty does not arise and the femininity faculty will not arise. Or rather, for whomever the femininity faculty will not arise, does the nose faculty not arise for that one? For those in their final existence who are being reborn into the sense sphere; for those who, after being reborn in the form sphere or the formless sphere, will attain final Nibbāna; and for those males who, in that very same state [of sex], will pass through some number of existences and then attain final Nibbāna — for these, while they are being reborn, the femininity faculty will not arise; but it is not the case that the nose faculty does not arise for them. For those who are attaining final Nibbāna in the sense sphere; for those in their final existence in the form sphere and in the formless sphere; for those who, after being reborn in the form sphere or the formless sphere, will attain final Nibbāna; and for those males who, in that very same state [of sex], will pass through some number of existences and then attain final Nibbāna — for these, while they are passing away, the femininity faculty will not arise and the nose faculty does not arise.
