[168] For whomever, wherever, unwholesome phenomena (akusalā dhammā) arise, will indeterminate phenomena (abyākatā dhammā) arise for that one there?
Yes.
Or rather: for whomever, wherever, indeterminate phenomena will arise, do unwholesome phenomena arise for that one there?
For all [beings] at the moment of the dissolution of mind (citta), at the moment of the arising of mind dissociated from the unwholesome, and for non-percipient beings — indeterminate phenomena will arise for them there, but unwholesome phenomena do not arise for them there. At the moment of the arising of the unwholesome, for them there both indeterminate phenomena will arise and unwholesome phenomena arise.
