[564] For whomever, wherever, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) arises, does the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) arise for that one there?
For those with eyes being reborn without equanimity (upekkhā), the eye faculty arises for them there, but the equanimity faculty does not arise for them there. For those with eyes being reborn with equanimity, for them there the eye faculty arises and the equanimity faculty arises.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the equanimity faculty arises, does the eye faculty arise for that one there?
For those being reborn with equanimity but without eyes, the equanimity faculty arises for them there, but the eye faculty does not arise for them there. For those being reborn with equanimity, with eyes, for them there the equanimity faculty arises and the eye faculty arises.
