[690] For whomever, wherever, the nose faculty (ghānindriya) does not arise, does the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) not arise for that one there?
For those without the nose (aghānaka), associated with knowledge (ñāṇa), who are taking rebirth: for them, there, the nose faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that the wisdom faculty does not arise for them there. For all who are passing away, and for those without the nose, dissociated from knowledge, who are taking rebirth: for them, there, the nose faculty does not arise and the wisdom faculty does not arise.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the wisdom faculty does not arise, does the nose faculty not arise for that one there?
For those dissociated from knowledge, possessing the nose (saghānaka), who are taking rebirth: for them, there, the wisdom faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that the nose faculty does not arise for them there. For all who are passing away, and for those dissociated from knowledge, without the nose, who are taking rebirth: for them, there, the wisdom faculty does not arise and the nose faculty does not arise.
