[713] "For whomever, wherever, the joy faculty (somanassindriya) does not arise, does the mind faculty (manindriya) not arise for that one there?"
"For those possessing mind (sacittaka) who are being reborn without joy (somanassa), and, in the course of existence (pavatta), at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of a mind (citta) dissociated (vippayutta) from joy — for them, there, the joy faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that the mind faculty does not arise for them there. For all at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of mind, and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) — for them, there, both the joy faculty does not arise and the mind faculty does not arise."
"Or, for whomever, wherever, the mind faculty does not arise, does the joy faculty not arise for that one there?"
