[134] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception (vitakka) and with only discursive thought (vicāra) (avitakkavicāramatta) is a condition, by way of object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya), for a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought (savitakkasavicāra).
Having emerged from a jhāna that is without thought-conception and has only discursive thought, … from the path (magga) … from the fruition (phala) … they review the fruition; taking that as object, aggregates (khandhā) with thought-conception and discursive thought arise.
One sees with insight the aggregates that are without thought-conception and have only discursive thought, and thought-conception, as impermanent, as suffering (dukkha), as not-self; one relishes them and delights in them; taking that as object, lust (rāga) arises … grief arises.
