Paccanīyapaṭṭhāna

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (2) · Vol. 41 · Section 149

[149] A phenomenon (dhamma) with thought-conception and discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra) and a phenomenon without thought-conception but with mere discursive thought (avitakka-vicāramatta) are a condition for a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought and for a phenomenon without thought-conception but with mere discursive thought by way of object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya). With reference to the aggregates (khandhā) with thought-conception and discursive thought, and to thought-conception (vitakka), there arise aggregates with thought-conception and discursive thought, and thought-conception.
