[165] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra) is a condition, by predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya), for a phenomenon without thought-conception, with discursive thought only (avitakka-vicāramatta), and for a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought.
Object-predominance (ārammaṇādhipati): Nibbāna is a condition, by predominance condition, for the path (magga) and the fruition (phala) that are without thought-conception, with discursive thought only, and for discursive thought.
