[178] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought (avitakkavicāramatta), is a condition for a phenomenon without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought, by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya):
The preceding thought-conception (vitakka) is in each case a condition for the succeeding thought-conception by immediacy condition.
The preceding aggregates without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought, are in each case a condition for the succeeding aggregates without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought, by immediacy condition.
The path without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought, is a condition for the fruition without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought; the fruition without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought, is a condition for the fruition without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought, by immediacy condition.
