[179] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought (avitakka-vicāramatta) is a condition for a phenomenon with thought-conception and discursive thought (savitakka-savicāra) by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya).
Each preceding thought-conception (vitakka) is a condition for each succeeding [set of] aggregates (khandhā) with thought-conception and discursive thought by immediacy condition.
A death consciousness (cuti-citta) without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought is a condition for a rebirth consciousness (upapatti-citta) with thought-conception and discursive thought by immediacy condition.
A life-continuum (bhavaṅga) without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought is a condition for adverting (āvajjana) by immediacy condition.
Aggregates without thought-conception and with mere discursive thought are a condition for emergence (vuṭṭhāna) with thought-conception and discursive thought by immediacy condition.
