[239] A phenomenon without thought, with examination only (avitakka-vicāramatta dhamma), is a condition, by mutuality condition (aññamañña-paccaya), for a phenomenon with thought and with examination (savitakka-savicāra) and for a phenomenon without thought and without examination (avitakka-avicāra). At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), thought (vitakka) is a condition, by mutuality condition, for the aggregates (khandhā) with thought and with examination and for the base (vatthu).
